Another Relay for Life DONE!!

This is my 13th year as Team Captain for the American Cancer Relay for Life event in Vacaville.
Check out my Relay for Life page for more details.
My favorite part is the Luminaria ceremony.  You decorate bags either "In Honor of" or "In Memory of" those that are either fighting the fight with cancer or have fought the noble fight.  The ceremony is to remember those in a unique way while the sun begins to set.  They also spell out "HOPE" on the stands so as you pass by, you remember why we are at Relay.

This is what it looks like when they are all lit up. All the luminarias line the track during the night.
Here's another look at them all lit up.

There is still time to DONATE to my team.  We have an extra month after the event to add to our total for this year.
Thank you for checking in!

Open House was a SUCCESS!!

I just held an Open House today to introduce my friends to the new Stampin' Up! catalog, some new items, the Paper Pumpkin monthly kits, and to let them see and play with some new items.
Here are my samples for the Sprinkles of Life stamp set.
Here are my samples for the Build a Birthday stamp set with the Cherry on Top DSP and matching cardstock along with the  Cherry on Top Washi Tape.
Here are my samples using the You're So Sweet stamp set and the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  Everyone received one as a gift from me for coming to my Open House.
Here are the Cherry on Top DSP and matching cardstock along with the Cherry on Top Washi Tape and the In Color markers.
My friends also got to play with the Triple Banner Punch and the Bow Builder punch
I like the two different looks for the Triple Banner punch.  The one on the left is layered with space between the banners, and the one on the right is all lined up to match the ends.  Which one is your favorite look?
My friends also got to play with the Cotton Paper Assortment.  I folded the 12x12 paper into 3 times so there were 8 layers and cut it with the Floral Frames Thinlits. I used the Paper Piercer in the center of all 8 layers and put in a silver brad, fastened it and then squished each layer to make this beautiful fluffy flower. And then they got to attach it to a tag.
They also got to see the Envelope Punch Board using the new Envelop Paper. I love that it is a solid color on one side and as design on the other.
This was my Make and Take using the You've Got This stamp set.  My friend Cynthia colored these using the SU! Markers and Aqua Painters.  Aren't they beautiful?

Thank you for checking in!

2015 Graduation cards, Invitations, and Thank you cards!!

Hello!
I have been busy getting ready for graduation season!! There are a lot of people I know graduating this year!
Go Class of 2015!!
One niece graduated 8th grade and her sister graduated high school.  My friend Shelley graduated from Sac State, and the daughter of a high school friend is also graduating high school.
Here is the card I made for the junior high graduation. I used a new technique called Folded Corner Card.  Stay tuned for a new blog post later on how to make this neat card.
Here are the pop up cards I made in different class colors for the different schools.
 Blue and Yellow...
 Green and Yellow...
 and Orange and White...
I also made my niece a card holder out of a Pringles can.  Here it is with all of her graduation cards inserted into it.  I blogged about these card holders in a previous blog post.
A friend also asked me to make invitations for her son's after graduation party.  I made 2 versions, first the corner slit...
and the second version, the corner stair...
And, I also made matching Thank You cards...
Thank you for checking in!
