Spring Vendor Faire at work!

Another successful Vendor Faire at work.

Here are a few things I made, some I've made before and some are brand new.  Here are some 12X12 framed quotes ($10).

 Here are some smaller 5X7 quotes ($5).

I also printed out some sayings and framed them and attached a dry erase marker to the frame so you can leave different notes everyday ($7).

 I also had a "Don't forget to be AWESOME today" ($5) and a countdown frame also with a dry erase marker ($7).

 Lastly, I made gift card holders made from 6X6 paper. I followed Frenchie's video. ($2 each or 3 for $5).

I had a special order for some Thank you cards for coaches.  Heather also suggested I make some with yellow stitches for softball. I had no idea that they were yellow, so that is on my list of cards to make next.

 I also made some baseball and soccer boxes to hold treats in ($5).

 I also brought back my "Through the Years" scrapbook pages that you can put your child's pictures from kindergarten to 11th grade on two 12X12 pages.  You can buy them framed ($20) or in sheet protectors for a 12X12 album($15).

 And back by popular demand, Hershey Kisses roses!!

 I also made some card packets of various cards, some Thank You, some Birthday cards.

Slumber Party Fun!!

My friend Dawn asked for help for a slumber party for her daughter's 11th birthday.  It was Paris themed, inspired by this stamp.

First, I made cupcake decorations with the stamp, an oval punch, and short skewers.

This is how I packaged them up.

I also thought of the necklace kit I got the last time I was at Scrapbook Expo and I used at my nieces' party a few years ago.  It's a simple craft for young kids.  Coincidence?  I love it!!

Here was the set up for decorating journals that Dawn bought for the girls to decorate.  I brought my inks, markers, letter stamps, Project Life paper kits and accessories.  Many of these items are now retiring and are on sale, some of them half price, while supplies last!  Click here or on the links at the bottom of this post.

I also cut out letters to personalize the bookmarks with the girls' names.  They used inks, washi tape, and markers to decorate them.  They enjoyed sponging the bookmarks and making them their own.

 Dawn also wanted a spinner to play Spinning Manicures! I just found a magnetic spinner at the Dollar Store and found a magnetic white board to place it on.  PERFECT!! Another coincidence?  I think not!!

You realize this is perpetuating my need to continue to collect and buy things "just in case."

Vendor Faire at work!!

Hello,
I've been working on some new projects to sell at the Vendor Faire at my work. We had it yesterday, and I had a great time with my BFF Cynthia!!
I still have a few items left!  Just in time for Mother's Day and for Teacher Appreciation Week!  
Here they are!
First one is a two page scrapbook page layout.  The first one has Kindergarten through 5th grade.

The second page is from 6th grade through 11th grade. If you need them framed, they are $20 for both pages. 

 If you just need the pages in sheet protectors, they are $10 for both pages.
Here was a fun one I found on Pinterest.  It's a frame with 7 different pages.  You can switch them out according to the season.  Get it?  I called it a "Frame for All Seasons." It is $5 for the frame with the 7 pages.  I have 2 left!

Then, I also made some Hershey Kisses roses.  I used to make them every year for Valentine's Day for my co-workers.  I haven't made them for a few years and thought it would be a great small gift for people to purchase.  They are $1 each or 6 for $5.  If you bought a half dozen, I will wrap them with green tissue and tied it with a ribbon.  Here is the vase of roses and the half dozen roses.  I have a couple dozen left, but can make more if you let me know.

I was also busy making card sets.  They were sets of 4 cards and envelopes for $10.  Most of them were Thank You cards for Just For You cards.  These are the last ones left.

I was featured in an article in my local paper!!

Okay, so officially this is not the first time I appeared in the local paper, The Daily Republic, but it is the first time I am being spotlighted. Here's my first entry last year reminiscing about high school athletics.
Here's how it happened.  I received a FB message last week from the interviewer, Tony Wade, who asked if he could interview me for an article for the paper about what he referred to as "my scrapbooking adventures".  We scheduled to talk on the phone at 7:03pm. (He said he likes to pick odd times, for no reason.)

Crafty woman shares love of paper with others

When he sent a photographer, Aaron, and I was SO nervous, so you can see me just sitting at my table, not sure how to pose.  I even had the photographer make a card while he was there.  This is the card he made.

And I knew that Tony was a Raiders fan, so I made him this card.   I picked a spinner card because I was describing it to Tony during our conversation and decided to go with one the Raiders emblem.  Because it's a moving card, I took a video of it in action.

Mother's Day gift

I saw this in a house when I was dogsitting once.  It was a family with 4 children and there was a vertical frame with each child forming a letter to spell out L-O-V-E.
I thought that would be perfect for my sister who has 4 kids too, so I decided to make one for my sister, but I felt silly only ordering 4 pictures from Costco, so she and her mother-in-law each received this framed gift.

 And my other 5 sisters received a different version inspired by Patty's Flower Photo Project.  I used 4 envelopes and some 12 X 12 paper. It was an accordian frame.

I know, I know, I'm a PROUD AUNT and am not afraid to brag!!

Baby Shower album and candy game!

One of my good friends, Sheri, called me up to tell me that her brother is expecting a baby and needed help with hosting a baby shower.
She just wanted a couple of games, and didn't want anything too elaborate.
We served this awesome pink punch made of scoops of raspberry sherbet and ginger ale.  It foams up like a root beer float and tastes really YUMMY!
So, first I thought it would be nice to have a nice keepsake for the baby, so when I was at the Scrapbook Expo in Sacramento, I picked up a small pink photo album and cranked out 20 pages for the guests to write in their good wishes for the baby and the parents to be.  I used my Big Shot and cut out a variety of shapes, stamped a ton of baby images and die cut the baby's name on the first and last pages.

Then, I shopped  for some items at Party City.
Remember the old shower game where people wear clothespins and aren't allowed to say the word "baby?" If they do, then their clothespin can be taken away.  The person at the end the party with the most clothespins wins.
To put a twist on it, I decided to buy some pink beaded necklaces instead.

 So, as the guests arrived, we gave them each a necklace and explained that they weren't allowed to say "baby" or "Patty," the mom-to-be, otherwise their necklace would be taken away.  The winner would be the one with the most necklaces at the end of the party.

I also thought a nice candy vase would be an easy game.  I layered different colored candies in a container, and had the guests guess how many candies they think were in the container and the closest guess would win the container. Yes, I actually counted out the candies.

Here were the guesses and the winner was ONE candy away!!! Can you believe that?
