Front Pocket Card

Hello,

I love this new Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper (DSP) and wanted to try this new Front Pocket card. It holds a small card with a sweet sentiment. Scroll down to the bottom for a full video tutorial.

Start with a card base measuring 5-1/2" X 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"

Then, mark 2-3/4" on the bottom and score from the ends to the mark. It should look like this:

Then, you take TWO pieces of DSP measuring 2-1/2" X 4"

And you cut them diagonally in opposite directions.

Then, you use these triangles.

Next, adhere them to the back of the front of the card, so it looks like that.

Flip the card over and adhere it so the fold forms a pocket.

Use a piece of Basic White measuring 2-3/8" X 2-3/8" adhere a piece of Shaded Spruce measuring 1/2" X 2-3/8" and stamp your sentiment from the Cottage Rose Stamp set.

Wedding Invitations

Hello,
I was asked to make some wedding invitations for Dolly and Derek's niece.  
Here is the Pinterest inspiration that Dolly found that the bride to be really liked.  

She wanted something simple. I cut the paper, Dolly printed the words and ordered the envelopes, and I assembled them all.
I had 2 different background papers, one darker and one lighter, and the bride chose the one on the right.

2015 Graduation cards, Invitations, and Thank you cards!!

Hello!

I have been busy getting ready for graduation season!! There are a lot of people I know graduating this year! 

Go Class of 2015!!

One niece graduated 8th grade and her sister graduated high school.  My friend Shelley graduated from Sac State, and the daughter of a high school friend is also graduating high school.

Here is the card I made for the junior high graduation. I used a new technique called Folded Corner Card.  Stay tuned for a new blog post later on how to make this neat card.

Here are the pop up cards I made in different class colors for the different schools.

I also made my niece a card holder out of a Pringles can.  Here it is with all of her graduation cards inserted into it.  I blogged about these card holders in a previous blog post.

  A friend also asked me to make invitations for her son's after graduation party.  I made 2 versions, first the corner slit...

 and the second version, the corner stair...

And, I also made matching Thank You cards...

My very own Personalized Monogram Stamp!!!

So cool!

I FINALLY ordered my Photopolymer Circle Monogram stamp.  It took me a while to decide what to put on it, and now I want MORE!!  This is the back of a card I created.  I am so EXCITED to use it for ALL of my creations!

This is how it arrives separately in a padded envelope from Stampin' Up!

When you are ordering, you put in the number 132852, and a new screen pops up to let you create the stamp ANY way you want!  This is a screen shot of what you would see.  

Here's my next one for my customer thank you cards

All you do is place it on a clear block and WELLAH! 

I can imagine a wedding monogram,  a baby announcement, or an address stamp.

Spider-Man invites and Thank You cards

A co-worker's daughter, Natalie, wanted to have a Spider-Man birthday party and asked me to make invitations. This is what I came up with.  I used the Web Embossing folder (retired) to emboss the red and mounted it on a blue cardstock.  I also punched a black heart and a white heart with the Hearts Collection Framelits, cut them in half and made the Spider-Man eyes with them.

This is the other side of the invitation.

Here are the Thank You cards.  On the front, I used the Web Embossing Folder and the Just Saying stamp set with the Word Bubbles Framelit Dies.  Here is the front.

And here is the back, so Natalie can help fill in the blanks.  

The stamp, Simple Birthday Thanks is currently on the Year End Close-outs.  

If not, her mom can write words with a highlighter and Natalie can trace the letters so she can take a part of the process too!  I love when the kids get involved.  The highlighter thing is something I used to do when I was teaching Montessori to encourage writing.

My latest invitation creations!! Cowgirl theme!

My co-worker Jenn asked for some invitations for her daughter Gracie's 5th birthday.
Here is the invitation she found that she wanted to inspire me:

I didn't have any cowgirl stamps, so I searched the internet for cowgirl clipart.
This is what I came up with, here is the front:

And, since I had a lot of scraps leftover, I offered to also do Thank You cards.  Here is what I came up with:

And then, to deliver the invitations and Thank You cards, I decided to package them.  Together with the envelopes, I tied the invitations with some twine.

And to hold the Thank You cards, I reversed the box the envelopes came in and decorated it with more of the scraps I had created. I like to use what I have, so I was inspired by my previous post where I reversed a box I had to hold some Christmas crafts.

Nicole's graduation invitations

I made a special invitation for my friend Nicole.
She is graduating from Sac State with a history degree.
So proud of her...she did it while raising 3 kids, working part time.  She started at Delta Community College and then transferred to Sac State.

Nicole kept her focus and did it!!!
