I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
This blog is a place to share my creations to make you smile and sometimes laugh.
I love card making and scrap booking plus a WHOLE lot more! I am definitely a child of the 70's and 80's too! I LOVE Pinterest too!!
Here is a diorama card I made using the Kintsugi Suite, including the Inspired Imperfections bundle, Inspired Imperfections Decorative Series Paper (DSP) and Gold foil Specialty Sheets.
I love the concept of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the pieces with lacquer mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, a technique that highlights the cracks rather than concealing them.
Also known as kintsukuroi or "golden joinery," it transforms a broken object into something unique and beautiful, celebrating its history and flaws as a symbol of resilience and beauty in imperfection.
Here is the card front:
Here is the card opened, showing the vase in a diorama.
And here is the card from the top so you see how the diorama works.
Here is another card using another vase.
Here are the ingredients you need to make this card, including measurements.
Here is a video tutorial showing you how to make this card yourself.
When I first saw this card on Pinterest, I was intrigued.
How does it close? How is the connector attached? This is my version of this card, and I named it, Accordian Surprise card.
For this version, I used the Happy Hibiscus embossing folder, and created a "connector" similar to the one I used for the Kintsugi Inspirations Triple Arch cards I made before.
For this one, I used the Sunflower 3D embossing folder and a Daffodil Delight connector.
To make the connector, I cut out 2 shapes from the Nested Essentials and made a connector with a 1-1/2" X 2", scored at 1". Here is the back of the connector.
Here is the back of the connector. I made sure when the connector is folded in half, it matches perfectly.
Here are the pieces of the card you need to make this card yourself.
I was inspired by Lorraine Cich to make this Panoramic Panel card after I saw her version using the Beautiful Gallery DSP. I wanted to use the Woven Textures DSP instead.
First you cut the DSP and cardstock into strips.
Then, you cut the DSP and the cardstock to create the coordinating pieces.

I had so much fun making this card using almost all of the dies.
What do you think?
Here is another version using the opposite pieces for the sunglasses.
This is a closeup on how to adhere the handle to the inside.
Here is how you can use the die as a handle instead of a straw. This is a picture from my class of a card that Terry made. I like that she made it a handle. I show that in the full video tutorial too.
Here is the full tutorial to make this card, including some tips and tricks on using the dies.
