Ribbon Weaving revisited!!

What do you think about these cards?  I did some ribbon weaving and created this wreath for a card that looks like a red door using the metal rimmed pearls, and a candy cane with the new Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum.

I posted about this technique on this previous post. It reminds me of finger crocheting
I learned in elementary school.  I am a fidgit-er by nature.  I need to doodle, fold paper, fidget with string, whatever.  I remember doing that in class all the time.  A friend introduced me to finger crocheting and I would do it with my string on my bozo (hooded sweatshirt) all during class.

Here is the  video I learned how to do the ribbon weaving.  If you learn more with pictures, here is a tutorial to teach you how to weave the ribbon.

The dimensions for the door are:

Door- 5.5 X 4.25
top panel- 2.5 X 1.5 with 2.25 X 1.25 layered on top
bottom panel-1.5 X 1.5 with 1.25 X 1.25 layered on top
Sponge the panels with matching ink to give it dimension
Adhere the metal rimmed pearl as a doorknob.

Start with 3 yards of ribbon to make the wreath and start weaving in the middle of the ribbon.
Happy ribbon weaving!!!
Thank you for checking in!
