Had a wonderful mini class with some young ladies!!!

My friend Debra had a "Young Ladies Summit" with her younger relatives and invited me to do some stamping with them. Here are the cards we made.

As a bonus, we also made a nice purse/box to hold their cards when they were all done.
Can you see that I used the owl punch for the penguin? I can't take credit for it, credit is due to Ellen P., another stamper who thought it up first and I "CASED" it. That's what we call it..."Copy And Share Everything."
I used the owl punch for the first time and used it for a shoebox swap I did with my fellow stampers last Saturday. Here was my project. It's called a box corner pop up card. This is it closed and then it opened up. It's made to stand up on your desk or mantle.

My co-worker's son is turning 2 and wanted some invitations.

Here's what I came up with, it's called a "Trophy Card."

This is the card closed.

This is the card opened, see how it looks like trophy standing up?

The back side of the card:

And they all came in a lovely card box to hold them all! (Thanks for the idea, Erica!)

The latest card class, party invitations and my latest swap!!!

First up is a monochromatic card. This is what first got me hooked on Stampin' Up! products. I LOVE the fact that the inks match the paper perfectly! Stampers had a choice of a lighter purple, Perfect Plum, or a darker purple, Elegant Eggplant, to use. Don't you love the dotted textured white paper? We actually made it by texturing the cardstock with the Big Shot!

Next, we stamped some lovely flowers using the newest clear stamp set, I really like the way you can easily see how to place the image perfectly.

Next, we made a "topiary" looking card with a red scallop and heart accent.

And then, we made this cute "Got Birthday?" card with matching icing and scallop circle. And for an added touch, a nice flower attached with a brad.

Here is also an invitation and thank you card that I made for a co-worker's daughter's 2nd birthday party. What do you think?

And finally, I wanted to share what my swap looked like. I meet quarterly with my fellow demonstrators and we all make multiples of a card and then swap with each other. At the end of the day, you go home with a whole variety of everyone's cards. It's a great way to get ideas!
Well, hope you enjoyed the cards and maybe you can join me the next time, just let me know if you are interested!

These are the cards we made on Saturday!

First, we had a daisy card using the Big Shot Daisy die. Together with a corduroy button, scallop trim border and matching inside paper, wellah! A nice Thank You card.

Then with the square scallop die and some rhinestone brads, we made a Birthday card with the checkered paper wrapping around the card.

Then, with matching paper and ink (I love that about Stampin' Up!), we made a gate card. I put a little twist on it and made the words connect on opposite sides.

And last, but not least, we made a waterfall card. With a simple pull of the bottom tab, you can slowly reveal 4 different images or words.

Well, that's it. I hope you enjoyed the cards and will join me on my next cardmaking class. It's scheduled for November 13th at my house. Let me know what you think of these cards and thanks for checking in!

Check out the cards we made!

In honor of Father's Day, here's what we made for the Dads.
For the Grads, we made a fold up card, because what do I always, say? "My cards need to ENTERTAIN me!"
And here's a close up of what was stamped on the pull out slip. I really like the words, they are perfect for a graduate to remember on their special day.

Next, is a card using the "Itty Bitty buttons," aren't they CUTE?

The last card we made during class was one with the Big Shot Embossing Folders. You got to choose from the Square Lattice or Polka Dots. Why pay for textured paper when you can make it yourself?
Plus, we got to watercolor the flowers too!

I wanted to share with you my latest creation for an invitation, it was for a pool party. What do you think?

Let me know if you want to join me cardmaking or scrapbooking or both!

We made some AWESOME cards today!

We started with the newest stamp set, Sweet Scoops, you can choose what kind of ice cream and kind of cone you liked.

Then, we used the Square Lattice Texture Embossing folder for the purple and Sweet Stems Embosslit(it cuts and embosses at the same time) for this lovely card.

With the new Specialty Designer Series Paper that has glossy designs that with ink, you can reveal the designs. Can you kind of see them?
What does that mean? You can choose the color to match your cardstock. I chose Old Olive ink to match the Old Olive ribbon, don't you LOVE it? Depending on how much ink you use, the the color can be as dark or as light as you want.

Using the Big Shot, I did a new technique called the Half Die cut to showcase the Scallop Circle. What do you think?

Needless to say, we had a FABULOUS Easter at the Ranch and I wanted you to see the animals on the Melendez Farm.
