Ribbon weaving...I am so obsessed with this!

So, I was perusing Pinterest as usual, and found a wonderful video on Ribbon Weaving Wreaths by Rhonda Britten~: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgT94EbGQtc
Check out the video, it's really great. For me, once I started making them, I couldn't stop.
Then, I thought, why not as a Candy Cane?
Then, once I got some 3/8" Stitched Stampin' Up! ribbons during the September special, I made one with the Gumball Green and thought it would looked great on a red door:
Then, I used the Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and made a Heart:

With the 1/8" Taffeta Real Red ribbon, I tried a Candy Cane
I even used the Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Stampin' Up! ribbon to make these:

What do you think I can make with these?

I think I'm channeling my inner knitter/crocheter...uh oh, have I refound another craft?  I remember knitting and crocheting with my grandmother when I was little.

Thanks for checking in!

My latest card class!!!

Thank you Debra, Kayla, Hui, Arwen, Huyen and Tori for coming to class yesterday!  We had a blast!  First up was a group of cards they finished "lickety-split" using the Embossing folders.  A tutorial on how to make 4 cards at once is located on my blog here.  Once they did the cards, they could choose whatever sentiment they wanted and add them on with Stampin' Up! Dimensionals.

Next is a fun twisted card I saw on Cindee Wilkinson's blog here. Thank you Cindee for the inspiration.  Here it is closed.
Here it is opened.  It looks complicated, but actually it's pretty easy.  One piece of cardstock scored diagonally from opposite corners, then folded in half.  It was fun decorating it with another piece of fancy paper that was only 1/4" smaller and cut in the same way the white cardstock was folded.
Lastly, was the pop up gift card holder that I will be demonstrating at my Stampin' Up! meeting next Saturday.  I'm so excited! Here is my version of it, the one we will be doing at the meeting will have other papers/embellishments.  You can find my tutorial of two versions of this pop up card here.
Here is what the card looks like opened up.
Here is a side view of it.
I'll let you know how the demonstration goes and my newest obsession...ribbon weaving.
Thanks for checking in!

Wedding invitations for my BFF Cynthia!!!

So, Cynthia and I have known each other FOR-EV-ER...since we were 9 years old!
And when she got married and wanted invitations to her wedding celebration, we went to work.  She was the designer and I was the "put it together gal."  Cynthia chose a lovely Stampin' Up! color, Rich Razzleberry, some silver swirls, a little vellum on top, and added some BLING.
Then, for the RSVP card, we made it a postcard and stamped a leaf with some Rich Razzleberry ink.
Cynthia even got into the stamping and did the envelopes, look how pretty!
Thanks for checking in!
