Miura Card Tutorial

Hello,

The first time I saw a Miura card, I fell in love.  One piece of paper, lots of folding, and a unique opening...all the qualities of a paper challenge for me!

Start with a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock measuring 10-1/2" X 5-1/2" cardstock, scored at 3-1/2” and 7"
Then, mark on each score line, 2" on opposite sides, and score from the marks to the corners.

Then, get 2 pieces of DSP measuring 5-1/4" X 3-1/4" and mark 1-7/8" and cut to the corner.

Then, with the corner, cut off 3/8" of the short side of the triangle.

Do the same with a piece of Whisper White and mark the 1-7/8" on both ends.

Adhere it to the cardstock, matching the lines.

For the belly band, cut a piece of cardstock measuring 1" X 9", stamp the sentiment on a Celebration Label and attach it with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here's the video to make the card.
This is my inspiration, I found this in a book of fun folds I bought in the 90's and here is my first attempt to make a zig zag pattern.  This started as a square piece of paper.

Thank you for checking in!
Looking forward to sharing more with you next time.
