Tricorn card tutorial from half a sheet of cardstock (NOW with Metric measurements!!)

 Hello,

Have you seen a Tricorn card? I did some math and figured out how to make it fit in an A2 envelope, and get 2 out of one sheet of 8-1/2" X 11" piece of cardstock. Here it is:

You start with a 5-1/2" X 8-1/2" piece of Pretty Peacock,  score it at 2-1/8", 4-1/4", and 6-3/8"
(Metric Measurements: start with half a sheet of A4 that is 210mm X 148 and score at 52.5mm, 105mm, and 157.5mm)

Then, you mark 1-3/4" from each end like the photo.
(Metric Measurements: mark 40.5mm)
Then, use a ruler and a bone folder to score from the corners to the marks you just made.

And this is how you fold along all the score lines, and you glue the middle part together to form the Tricorn shape.

Then, you get 2 pieces of Brushed Metallic cardstock, 2 pieces of DSP, and 2 pieces of Very Vanilla, the same size as the Brushed Metallic cardstock.  Measurements are listed in the photo below.
(Metric Measurements: first layer-130mm X 45mm, mark at 37mm, second layer-120mm X 40, mark at 37mm)
You mark the back of the paper as listed in the photo.
Then, you cut from the bottom corner to the marks to make the shape.
Then, you cut off the tops of the triangles, about 1/4" like the photo
below.  (Metric Measurements: cut off 5mm from the top of the triangles like in the picture)
I added a piece of Very Vanilla cut with the Stitched Nested Dies, stamped the "Merry Christmas" from the Celebration Tidings set, and added a 5" piece of Reversible Ribbon and knotted it.  Then, I stamped and punched out an ornament from the Christmas Gleaming set in Night of Navy.
This is the reverse side where I put some Very Vanilla pieces so you can write a little bit more if you want to.
And as a bonus, it can fold down flat and fit into an A2 envelope.
Here's a video to watch as I go through the steps of making a Tricorn card.
Thank you for checking in!
Looking forward to sharing more with you next time.
