This month's theme is CASE (Copy and Share Everything) something in the catalog. Here's the card from page 46 of the Sept.-Dec. 2023 Mini Holiday catalog.
I used the Rustic Crate from the September-December 2023 Mini catalog. First, I stamped the wood plank using Smoky Slate on a piece of Lost Lagoon for the card base.
Then, I used an Aqua Painter and brushed water onto a piece of Watercolor Paper using Soft Sea Foam. I waited for the WaterColor paper dried, then stamped the foliage using Memento Ink, and adhered it onto a piece of Basic Black.
One tip I want to share with you is to spread water onto the watercolor paper first with an Aqua Painter to prepare it for the ink. Then, I smooshed a clear block onto the Soft Sea Foam ink pad and used it as a palette to "paint" onto the watercolor paper.
Then, I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Soft Sea Foam and die cut it using the small stitched circle from the Celebration Tags dies.

Beautiful case! Now I wish I had this stamp set!
ReplyDeleteI love the wood plank stamping on the card base.
ReplyDeleteGreat CASE, Susan.
Love your card. I love the idea of using your clear block to stamp for your watercolor. Those backgrounds intimidate me and I forget about the blocks. Thanks!
